Kiamesha Smalls is a Brooklynite, meaning she was in Brooklyn when they used to call Brooklyn Central Library Grand Army Library. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology where she majored in fashion design. She interned at Armani Exchange and Jamaica Center for Arts and learning. Years later, she completed Kingsborough Brooklyn Community College (KBCC) certificate culinary training program where she was able to do her culinary externships at notable New York City restaurants such as John Dory and Ainsworth.
She has worked in both fashion and media industries, and is a community television producer for “Free Speech TV” network on Spectrum cable channels with the support from BRIC Media. She has worked with top French fashion brands such as Adore Me and Vestiaire Collective to American nonprofit organizations like NYC Mission Society and Community Mediation Services on contracted assignments with New York City The Department of Youth & Community Development.
She prides herself in being proactive in under -served communities through utilizing her arts disciplines and community outreach skills. She has volunteered for Dwana Smallwood Performing Arts Center in Brooklyn, New York and The 52nd Street Project located in Manhattan for wardrobe and seamstress support.
